Made to be ridden small, this is a highly efficient performance board which will almost shock you. It’s like no other board you’ve ever surfed.

stock size recommendations range from:

5′0″ x 18.75″ x 2.25″ (nathan’s size)

5′2″ x 19″ x 2.35″

5′4″ x 19.5″ x 2.5″

…. any size you want custom shaped by Stretch and built in our Santa Cruz factory.

If you think this looks like some super small wave groveley fish looking thing then know that it:

+ has more rocker than the Sword model

+ uses super deep (~1/4″) single to double concaves

+ can be ordered about +1/4″ wider and 10″-12″ shorter than your daily driver shortboard

Well, 2011 came to a close and 2012 has kicked off with unreal waves and weather (in Santa Cruz at least). Nathan Fletcher’s insane coverage (8 cover shots, editorials, video parts, interviews and who knows what else) brought me thinking back to 2009 when he had a broken leg, ambitious video skills and tons of friends and footage to help him heal up and pass the time. all eps tech construction shortboards will soon come standard with 1/8″ bamboo stringers with optional 5/32″-1/4″ bamboo available for larger boards or guys who want a bit stiffer flex and/or weight. combined with the latest R&D to come out of the shaping bay and from rider feedback you can bet that your next small wave performance board from stretch will get a big boost of TWAAAAANG! to add to the excitement.

On the evening of Wednesday March 16, 2011 we lost a good friend. His skills in the water were matched to his giant heart. He was a father, a friend and a very exceptional human being and he will be missed. A donation fund has been set up to help support Sion’s family.

It’s a tragedy to have him taken from us so soon. May he rest in peace.
