EPS Technology

Marko Foam Pressure Molded EPS Blanks

Precision fused for optimum strength, controlled density and quality. Better bonding and flex than polyurethane. Safe for builders and the environment.

Multiple Foam Densities

Offers additional strength in larger boards, lighter weight in smaller boards and vice versa. Provides quicker, more responsive performance in small to medium waves. Reduces swing weight in larger boards.

Deck Channels

Individually hand built into every board. Offers tactile grip, comfort and control. Strategically foiled to moderate board flex.

Paraband Stringers

Stronger than single ply or unidirectional wood stringers. Provides uniform and consistent flex throughout the board. Allows each individual stringer to balance and negate potential breakage in the other.

Resin Research Epoxy

Best surfboard specific epoxy resin available. Excellent strength, elongation, bonding and clarity. Resin Research master mind, Greg Lohr, has the most dedication, expertise and experience in the business.

Quad Directional Lamination

Has the ability to control flex by orienting cloth fibers in various directions. Arranging the weave on the "bias" enables fiberglass cloth to stretch and mold to a form, creating a very lively and fully integrated flex (spring).

Environmentally Sound Construction

Safe Workplace

Epoxy has 1/50th the volatile vapors of surfboard polyesters. It is much safer for both the workers and the environment.

No VOCs

Used correctly, epoxy uses only 40% of the resin used in a polyester laminate. Epoxies have no volatile organic compounds and require no "clean up" solvents, eliminating VOC emissions from the atmosphere.

No CFCs

EPS foam is produced with clean steam, not chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's). It is non-toxic and totally inert.

Recyclable Material

EPS is 100% recyclable and Marko uses an extensive recycling system to re-use it's foam for numerous applications.
